About Me
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Moises Marquez is a first-generation Latino filmmaker whose fuse of fascination for storytelling, editing, and visual effects was lit after watching James Cameron's AVATAR at the age of nine. He is currently a Post Production film student attending California State University, Long Beach(CSULB). In 2017 he was selected as the editor for Ghetto Film School LA's Israel thesis film, Charley Horse.

In 2018 he joined 22 West Media, a student-run media company at CSULB. He served as their lead video editor for two years before being promoted to his current position as Chief Video Executive Producer, where he manages a team of Producers, Editors, Interns, and Volunteers as they produce scripted/unscripted videos, short films, and live events. As a leader, Moises always promotes collaboration and good communication, looking to President Dwight D. Eisenhower as an example of exemplary leadership. As a documentary filmmaker, Moises is on a quest to find authenticity within stories and storytelling. He hopes to tell authentic, meaningful, and impactful stories of his own.

Moises is excited to bring the pride of the eastside to Iceland by being a part of the GFS LA Stronger thesis crew and can't wait to share the film with the world.
