Charley Horse tells the story of Hila, an eighteen-year-old punk in modern-day Tel Aviv, who is forced to reconcile her identity and values on the eve of her military conscription.
Produced by Ghetto Film School's LA Fellows and shot on-location in Israel in 2017.
The Ghetto Film School Fellows Program provides high school students with a free extracurricular narrative filmmaking program to develop their storytelling abilities to a level of excellence. Every year, the Fellows Program culminates with the International Thesis Project, a real world production experience where students create a short film in an international city.
Ghetto Film School is based in MacArthur Park, Los Angeles and the South Bronx, New York.
